Procrastination is the practice of carrying out less urgent tasks in preference to more urgent ones, or doing more pleasurable things in place of less pleasurable ones, and thus putting off impending tasks to a later time, sometimes to the “last minute” before the deadline. When the practice down into the habit, most of the case will cause negative result in someone’s career and life, therefore, most people try to avoid procrastination.

- Ask to yourself, what is your goals, purpose and objective of any activity you want to do. Find the reasons, ask WHY more than WHAT or HOW, it would help you build the strong commitment in doing completing the tasks.
- Do not wait until everything you need perfectly complete because it never happen. Just do it even there is a risk to be fail rather than waiting until the condition you are expect exist. Practice make perfect.
- Breakdown the goals into several milestones that specific enough to understand and realistic enough to achive it. Remember the quote, “how to eat the elephant?, one bite a time”, do not try to reach your goals in one time, but do it step by step, consistent and continuosly. One thousand miles is just started by one step.
Those 3 steps is very easy to do for yourself and applied to your teamwork. I practice it since 3 years ago and enjoy the result to myself, and most important to my organization.
